Overture approached Dan Lewis James to design and front-end code a new web application for entertainment agents and artiste managers. We worked from early stage wire-frames to design and develop all branding, marketing pages and the full web application.
Working to a tight deadline we used super-fast development techniques designing straight from the wire-frames into code and in close contact to the client all the time to discuss development decisions as the arose. These methods led to a design and front-end code period lasting only 50 days.
Interesting usability decisions needed to be made concerning complex booking procedures that users will generally carry out on a daily basis. It was important that the entire process was as smooth and as painless as possible, after all, that seemed to be the point of the Web App. We designed a unique way to pull in contacts and have them linked to existing agencies, promoters and venues. The booking can then be used to generate Invoices and contracts all with one click. The system then sends the whole lot through to an internal inbox ready to be sent to the users customers.
After only a few months Overture has an impressive list of large agencies using the Web Application every day.
