I began as a freelance designer in 2004 working on projects for small business and a Bristol based charity the Bristol Children’s Help Society. With a desire to work on larger projects I began looking for work in design agencies.
I started working at Kwiqq in late 2007. As lead designer I was responsible for all of the creative output from the company, as the company was at startup stage I ended up providing a much greater role. Working on high value projects with little company process was a real challenge but one I met with a constant desire to improve the project management.
For a very small company with limited experience we designed and developed many top quality social sites, among them were E3 group, Gazetme and Kwiqq open, a fully featured open source white label social network with integrated CMS.
On leaving Kwiqq I decided to concentrate on Freelance work with a focus on designing and implementing web and mobile applications. I have wide ranging experience designing architecture, user experience and visual representation for applications and specific knowledge regarding the challenges facing social site design. Using these skills I can incorporate these trends in to all my design projects, leading to clear and navigable interfaces.
